The foundation for Pols was actually laid in 1933.
Grandfather Cees, originally from Heijplaat, the part of Rotterdam behind the Waalhaven, settles on Stationsweg in Zuidland after searching for firm footing for his horticultural business. There he establishes his nursery ‘Nieuw Leven’. His sons Teunis, Pieter and Adriaan help with the business.
The business premises of the machinery company are significantly expanded over the years. In the shed on the company site, where the old milling machine from 1937 can still be admired, Cees van der Pols Sr. and his three sons began their first business activities.
Nine years later, on 18 November 1954, the first company expansion was opened and put into operation. It is a building, constructed from concrete elements with pressed brick patterns, which is covered with corrugated sheets and has a functional layout: a repair workshop with machines and workbenches, a parts warehouse, and an office.
From the second half of the seventies, developments at Pols took place at a lightning pace. In 1977, there were still only seven people working at the company, with a turnover then around half a million. After just one year, that exceeded one million guilders. Of the second generation, brothers Pieter and Adriaan withdrew from the company at that time, Teunis continued for a while longer.
The product range and number of suppliers are gradually expanding, and the workforce is growing.
In 1981, Cees, Henk and Adriaan took over the company and together they established Technische Handelsonderneming C. van der Pols & Zn. B.V. 
These products are sold throughout the Netherlands. These are the TS wood chippers and the Leiber transporters. Five years later, Pols becomes the importer for Doppstadt. In 1992 were there the Ransomes, Cushman en Ryan products have been added, which are now sold throughout the Netherlands.
Daedong began exporting to the US and expanded into Europe in 1990, now exporting to 80 countries. Under the trade name Kioti It serves the European, American and Australian markets. Kioti EU in Rotterdam has been supporting European distribution since 2012. Daedong continues to focus on engine development and holds various quality control certificates. It offers high-quality products and services at competitive prices, with tractors ranging from 21 to 140 hp, suitable for various applications.
The Korean brand Kioti supplies (compact) tractors in the power range of 20 to 90hp and is making steady progress in Europe. The dealer network has expanded significantly in recent years, and the tractors are sold in all major European markets. To also manage the parts supply effectively, Pols Groep will be taking care of parts supply to the various importers in Europe. The choice for Pols Groep is quite remarkable, as the market in the Netherlands is relatively small compared to countries like Germany and the UK. However, the favourable location, close to the port of Rotterdam, the spacious and modern parts warehouse, and familiarity with international parts delivery were decisive factors for Kioti in choosing Pols.
In 2011, Pols took on the importership of the golf cart brand E-Z-GO acquired. This makes the Netherlands the last European country where the import of E-Z-GO and Ransomes Jacobsen is consolidated under one distributor.
E-Z-GO, part of the Textron Group – which is also responsible for Ransomes and Jacobsen – offers a wide range of golf carts and utility vehicles. With this addition, Pols, a long-time importer of Ransomes and Jacobsen, strengthens its market position.
Since January 2012, Pols has been an importer of the RSP brand and has obtained exclusive representation for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds-dredgers in the Benelux.
With RSP's innovative suction technology, excavation work can be carried out safely and efficiently, without the risk of damage to cables and pipes. These machines offer the ideal solution for situations where traditional earthmoving with hydraulic excavators is not possible, too dangerous, or too labour-intensive.
From 1 February 2013, Pols has been the exclusive importer of Keestrack Crushing and screening equipment in the Netherlands. In close cooperation with the manufacturer, users will receive optimal support.
As of 1 September 2015, Piet van der Pol will be the director of all Pols companies. We have the utmost confidence that the aforementioned decisions will safeguard the continuity of the Pols companies, its customers, and its suppliers.
In 2015, we started a collaboration with Senro, a specialist in transport and sorting systems. Senro offers complete, custom-designed sorting lines for various waste streams, such as construction and demolition waste, household waste and industrial materials. Thanks to this partnership, we can provide customers with innovative solutions that enable up to 95% of waste to be separated and recycled, with a focus on bespoke solutions and future-proof expansion.
Kioti, founded in 1947, is the leading manufacturer of compact tractors in South Korea. Since its establishment, Kioti has been involved in the production and development of machinery and engines. From 1968 onwards, Kioti has also been independently involved in the development of tractors.
From 2016, Pols will also sell Kioti tractors in England, via Kioti UK.
As of 1 October 2019, Pols is the importer for the sale and service of the LM Trac tool carriers in the United Kingdom and France. The LM Trac tool carriers are produced by the Finnish manufacturer Oy Lai-Mu.
Zemmler Siebanlagen GmbH, producers of Zemmler Screening machines, is a thriving company where innovation, flexibility and customisation for customers are central. Since 2018, Zemmler Siebanlagen GmbH has been largely owned by Doppstadt Familienholding GmbH.
As of 1 October, Pols has been appointed as the importer for the Benelux region by Oy Lai-Mu, the Finnish manufacturer of the well-known LM Trac implement carriers. The LM Trac 286 is a very familiar sight in the Netherlands, and the successor to the 286, the LM Trac 287, has now also been added to our product range.
Ook Pols has been appointed as the importer for the sale and service of Wessex ProLine lawnmowers in the Netherlands. With Wessex's ProLine products, Pols offers an alternative product range for maintaining golf courses and sports fields.
Since 2021, Pols has been acting as a distributor for the recycling machines of SBM in Belgium and Luxembourg.
SBM's product range includes four variants of impact crushers (rotor crushers) and three variants of jaw crushers. In addition, an extensive selection of stationary machines is available.
Since 2024, Pols de machines from SBM has also started distributing in the Netherlands.
Pols has been appointed as distributor for professional lawnmowers and parts supply as of 1 March 2022. Ransomes English Jacobsen in Belgium and Luxembourg and takes over this task, in close consultation with the company Thomas in Merchtem.
In addition, Pols has proudly been a dealer partner of Infinicut in the Benelux. This innovative line, known for precision and durable lithium technology, seamlessly aligns with our mission to provide environmentally friendly solutions. The first products have already been delivered to iconic locations such as the Johan Cruijff ArenA, the Bingoal Stadium, and Het Kasteel.
In 2025, Pols became part of SMT Nederland. This acquisition marks a significant step in the further development of Pols. SMT Netherlands operates as an importer and specialist in Volvo CE and Sennebogen machinery. The integration creates synergy in terms of technology, knowledge, and service. This offers Pols new opportunities to further strengthen its service provision and market position. With this step, Pols enters a new phase, focusing on future-proofing and further professionalisation within a broader organisation.
2026 began for Pols with a great new step within vacuum excavation technology: we are the official importer of DISABLED in the Benelux. With this leading Swedish brand, we are deliberately choosing an experienced and internationally established manufacturer of industrial vacuum and ground suction solutions.

At Pols, you can count on the best service. We don't stop at advice and delivery of quality machines and parts. And of course, we are available for breakdowns and on Saturdays. After all, in the event of a breakdown, you want to get back to work with as little delay as possible, which is why we resolve breakdowns in the shortest possible term, with a team of around 20 specially trained mechanics. If necessary, they will even come to your location. They know your machines inside out and therefore know exactly how you can get going again quickly.
In our parts warehouse, there are more than 30,000 parts. This means there's a high chance we have your part in stock if you need something quickly. No weeks of waiting or opting for a lower-quality part, just get back to work immediately with the part you need. That's how we do things at Pols.
In our parts webshop, you will also find all the technical drawings of our machines. This way, for example, you can easily find the part you need, so you can easily order the correct one.
The foundation of our company was laid back in 1933. From a horticultural business to a mechanisation company, repair workshop and parts warehouse.
